Hello.

I’m Fabrizio, a London-based Digital Product Designer with over a decade of experience creating intuitive and impactful solutions, primarily in the financial services sector.

I design thoughtful, user-centred digital experiences — from complex enterprise tools to internal platforms and design systems. Whether shaping a product vision or refining micro-interactions, I combine design and development know-how to build scalable, accessible solutions that empower teams and drive results.

Fab & Olivia

Brainstorming session, Fab and Olivia. 1 July 2021, London.

From Programming to Design, to Design Engineering.

I started in web development, but my curiosity about user interactions and intuitive design naturally led me to digital product design.

More than a decade ago, when I transitioned into product design, I quickly realised I couldn’t leave coding behind. I continued nurturing my frontend skills and built strong collaborations with development teams. Having a deep understanding of how interfaces are built helps me design with feasibility in mind—crafting scalable, user-friendly solutions rather than abstract visuals that are hard to implement.

This blend of design and engineering continues to shape how I work today, especially when it comes to building robust design systems. I live in the creative space where design and development practices meet.

As I’m truly passionate about this topic, I wrote an article in my journal: The creative intersection—Why Design Engineering is more than "bridging the gap"

The books that inspired my journey:

Beyond Work

Being a dad to an adorable little girl—who means the world to me—has given me a bigger purpose in life.

As a proud Italian, I love making delicious pizza at home, and I’ll never say no to a good glass of wine (or two) with friends.

I also have a (healthy) obsession with sports, staying active with yoga, running, cycling, swimming, HIIT, and strength training nearly every day.

Design Philosophy

At the core of my work is a belief that good design should feel effortless.

Great design is collaborative, evidence-driven, and continuously refined.

By working closely with developers, stakeholders, and users, I create functional, and impactful solutions.

My Approach to Design

A strong focus on usability, systems thinking, and AI as an enabler, ensures technology works seamlessly for people.
